Our souls are never perfectly at peace, unless they are in a condition of closeness to Christ. The closer to Him, the closer we are to the perfect calm of heaven. The closer to Him, the more our hearts are filled with peace, strength and joy. For each of these depends on a continual fellowship with Jesus.
